Published on February 4, 2026, this edition of our weekly business roundup brings you the latest from the vibrant eastern Idaho business scene. From store relocations to exciting new ventures, let's dive into the buzz!
Ferrell's Clothing Store: A New Home, A New Era
After seven years in its previous location, Ferrell's Clothing Store has found a new home near the Grand Teton Mall. This move, the third in the store's history, is a significant milestone for the long-standing apparel company.
Dana Wright, co-owner alongside his wife, Teneal, shared the reasons behind this relocation with EastIdahoNews.com. "We were seeking a larger space to accommodate our growing business," Dana explained. "The new building offers a more spacious sales floor, providing a better shopping experience for our valued customers."
The Wrights have moved from their 5,500-square-foot space on South 25th East to a slightly smaller but more efficient 5,400-square-foot space in Centennial Square, located at 2261 East 17th Street. Dana highlighted the improved accessibility of the new location, saying, "This spot has better traffic flow and multiple entry and exit points, making it more convenient for our customers."
But here's where it gets interesting: Ferrell's has become a go-to destination for young men preparing for missions with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And now, they're expanding their services! Dana revealed that they'll soon offer suit rentals, a highly requested service that will provide more options for their customers.
And this is the part most people miss: Ferrell's has a rich history in Idaho Falls. Before the move to South 25th East in 2019, the business operated for an impressive 68 years at 417 West Broadway. The store was originally opened in 1950 by Dave Anderson at what was then JCPenney's, and it has since become a staple in the community.
The Wrights' journey with Ferrell's began in 2018 when they purchased the business from Teneal's father, Brent Tueller, who had owned it since the 1980s. Teneal, having grown up working in the shop, now co-owns the business with her husband, continuing the legacy.
As for the future of the Broadway building, local contractor Jayce Powell acquired it in 2019 and gave it a much-needed remodel. The building has since changed hands, with Justin and Valerie Miller becoming the new owners in September. Valerie shared that their plans for the space are still in the works, and we're excited to see what they have in store!
Dana Wright is thrilled about the new location and the opportunities it presents. "We're surrounded by other men's stores, creating a one-stop shopping destination for our customers. It's a great feeling to be part of this vibrant business community," he said.
Ferrell's Clothing Store will maintain its operating hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at its new location. The Wrights are planning a grand re-opening celebration in April, so stay tuned for more details!
